QA Automation Tester (2-5 Years)

Job Responsibilities

Collaborate with a team of QA resources to meet product delivery timeline.

Automate regression test cases for applications using open-source tools such as Selenium, Appium,

SoapUI.

The test cases need to be developed and automated for applications running in web browsers,

mobile apps including those iOS and Android-based, and back-end server and services applications

including those RESTful and SOAP web services based.

Conduct performance tests using open-source tools such as JMeter, Grinder, and SoapUI.

Develop regression testing suite across the applications capturing key the functionality of the

applications that can be executed in a tiered time-constraints manner, such as a full regression test,

6-hour regression test, 2-hour regression test.

Execute test cases for progression as well as regression.

Develop QA-management framework and processes. This could be manual or using an out-of-box

toolset such as PractiTest (similar to Quality Center) to capture line-item requirements, test-cases,

execution, defect management, and reporting.

Develop and report QA KPIs for iterations and releases such as defect leakage, defect severity

attributed to the SDLC phases, and automation %.

Carry out cross-browser testing.

Application Smoke testing post-deployment. Develop Smoke testing suite.

Set-up test data for integration testing. This may require copying and manipulating data across

testing environments, and data masking.

Assist in the UAT by reproducing the defects, testing the fix, and communicate on the progress of

the fix.
